Play In The Bag was created to assist beginning play therapists and those already working in the field with gathering the tools necessary to speak the language of play. My hope is to allow my peers a simple shopping experience to help those we work with in their healing process.

 

About me - I've been working in the mental health field since high school when I was in Peer Advocates. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a minor in Ethics and a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling. I am currently back in school, completing credits to satisfy a Biology Major/Pre-Med Program and then hopefully being accepted into medical school to pursue pediatric neuropsychiatry. I've worked in several different settings: residential with teenage males and females, Wrap-Around Services, and outpatient mental health (schools, rural, and urban). I'm a member of the Pennsylvania Association for Play Therapy Board (having been President in 2006 - 2007), American Counseling Association, National Board for Certified Counselors, Association for Play Therapy, and Chi Sigma Iota (honor society for counselors). I am also presently working towards earning my RPT-S (Registered Play Therapist - Supervisor). Vitae
